We started on May 8th with rice cereal and I've been giving it to him once a day every other day. The faces he makes are hilarious and there are days that he's so excited that he lunges for the spoon and opens his mouth so wide! However, other days he wants nothing to do with the stuff. We even thought that the cereal was bad because Nathan said it tasted rotten (and James makes the cutest scrunched nose/disgusted look). I tasted it again another time and I think the breast milk just turned bad when I warmed it up and mixed it with the cereal. So now I just bring it to room temperature. It's been fun seeing James learn to eat solids. I plan on getting some oatmeal for him to try and after his 6th month doctor visit next week I'll probably add some vegetables and fruits.

Give me food!
James' new development: eating solid foods!
