I wish I could say that today all fun and games... but no, that would be too perfect. I knew it was going to be hard to get to the library on time because it's really when James should be napping. But I tried to get him to nap early, only to fail. So we were off to the library without a morning nap. James was quite tired, though, and fell asleep in his car seat. The poor little guy didn't get much sleep because we were already running late and the playshop only lasted an hour. I was surprised how well he did all the way through lunch and fell asleep in the car again on the way home. But instead of going home, I had the bright idea of parking at Schenley Park and listening to the radio while James naps and then take him for a walk. Well, just about when James was going to wake up and I could move the car to the shade again, the car didn't start. Dead battery. :( I had no one to get mad at but myself. So even though it was a gorgeous day for a walk, it wasn't going to happen. Thankfully, Nathan was able to bike over to us (and there was a very nice lady at the playground with a working car) to help/teach me how to use the jumper cables. Nathan just got the battery replaced because this isn't the first time this has happened.
Lets hope and pray for a better day tomorrow. We're taking a family trip to a local apple orchard! I can't wait! (I WILL remember to take more photos!)
Oh my gosh Kara you are too cute! Sorry for your car troubles!! Hope your day goes better tomorrow...I always found it hard to get to the fun times at the library when they are little because the programs run during naptime...the worst time for little ones ;) Anyway, good effort GREAT mommy :)
ReplyDeleteOh, my goodness... adorable photos. Looks like Nathan's baby pictures with his blonde hair.
ReplyDeleteThanks Britanie and Kathy! I was a lot more calm about it then I'd usually be. Probably because it's a good thing it happened on a nice day rather than in the middle of winter! It is hard to get out and do fun things and still make sure James gets his naps, but it all works out (they're quite adaptable). How are you and your family doing, Britanie?
