I decided last minute to take James to the park so he could finally run free. We went to Wiard Park, one that I went to as a child, and after some warming up James had a great time on the swings and slides. You know I'm from a small town if I run into one of my elementary school teachers there with two of her grandkids. It was fun to catch up and show off James. Another nice surprise was that a community agency happened to be giving free bagged lunch for kids ages 1-18. This is a service to help kids who get free lunches at school to continue getting them over the summer. I don't know why they have a hard time getting more people there, but they had a lot of lunches not a lot of kids. So James got a free lunch. It was actually pretty good and it worked out great because we we're running behind to get James home for a nap.
Unfortunately, I forgot that I was charging my camera battery so I just have a few, poor quality pictures (and a video) from my phone.
After James's long nap, we went to visit my grandma and take her out to dinner. She was amazed at James and James took a liking to her too. What do you know, I forgot to take pictures again. I will better! :) We'll be seeing her several times before we leave.
